New Album: Anonymous Conglomerate – Power Lunch

It’s here, baby! Maryland based Hip Hop collective Anonymous Conglomerate, consisting of MC J Berd and producers Heroes 4 Hire, have released their album, Power Lunch, featuring appearances from Ruste Juxx, Nightwalker, E Major, One Ton & DJ MInus 9!

Ranging from rough, rugged & raw to smooth & funky, Heroes 4 Hire’s boom bap spin is the perfect soundbed for J Berd to practice his craft.  Humorous anecdotes, straight braggadocio raps, real life…it’s all there, wrapped up in Anonymous Conglomerate’s Power Lunch, released September 10, 2013, on Baltimore/Los Angeles based label Under Sound Music.

Before working together as a group, both the Heroes and J Berd have been recording and performing for years, garnering acclaim throughout the mid-Atlantic area. J Berd recently toured along the east coast as part of the Go Figure tour with his Action Figure cohorts.

Power Lunch is available for your listening pleasure, as well as for purchase, in the following locations:

New album: E Major, “Baltimore Bruin” | ft. Rome Cee, Kane Mayfield, King’s Khrysis, Kaimbr and more

Baltimore-bred, Los Angeles-based emcee E Major presents Baltimore Bruin, his new album featuring Cynthia Hawkes, Marc Evan, King’s Khrysis, Kaimbr, UllNevaNo, Rome Cee and Kane Mayfield as well as original production from Rexamillion, August Flight Gordon, Khrysis, Roddy Rod, IllMeasured, Minus Nine, Eddie Pearson and Sham Dibiase. E’s album Better Than Yours had already made Baltimore City Paper’s top ten albums of 2011 – two years after dubbing his Majority Rules album “a classic” – by the time his hit “Paper Runnin’” started doing the rounds on 92Q, later remixed by local legend DJ Booman. Wielding common-sense lyricism and a relaxed, persistent flow which presides on equal footing over boom-bap and trap alike, E’s shared stages with Lupe Fiasco, Wale, and Little Brother and has gotten the nod from Okayplayer, MTV, VH1 and DJ Booth. Three videos from the project have already been released: “Outrageous” (watch here), ”Feature Presentation” (watch here) and “Zodiac Freestyle” (watch here).

“I started Baltimore Bruin when I was in Baltimore and about to move to L.A.,” says E. “With the move and life events, this album took me longer than any other album I’ve done before. Because of that the sound of the album moves between classic, boom bap Hip Hop and the chilled out, spacy vibe I get from being in L.A.”

Baltimore Bruin is available now on E’s Bandcamp page.

Rome Cee’s “The Extra Mile”

We’ve been pushing it for a minute now and it’s finally here! Under Sound Music along with Pedx Baltimore, SPKSMEN and Rock the Dub present Rome Cee’s The Extra Mile.  We’re really excited because Rome has taken a quick path from getting love on Baltimore Hip Hop focused websites to getting posted on 2DopeBoyz, NahRight and HipHopDx.  Over the past few weeks we released a couple of videos and Rome has been on a bunch of radio shows and the work is clearly paying off.  And since we know a lot of people are checking for this release now, we’d love to hear what you think of the final product. Featuring Sean Price, as well as Under Sound artists and Rome’s COS family, The Extra Mile hits for those that want to hear some thought provoking shit or some street shit. So stop sleeping! Head over to our Bandcamp page and download it for FREE and then come back here and leave us a comment.

Peace! And thank you all for your support.
