New Video: Hezekiah – Love is Gone

There have been a few really good remixes of this track that Hezekiah’s has shared on his Soundcloud (currently over 15!), but the original is great too. Check out the video and pick up Hez’s latest DREAMS DONT CHASE THEMSELVES.

Hezekiah is back with a contemplative visual for his latest single “Love Is Gone” Directed by Embassy edit by Hezekiah. from his critically acclaimed album “Dreams Don’t Chase Themselves”.  In this piece, Hezekiah discusses his often strained romance for Hip-Hop and the bar that was once so high that fell to a low that leaves him questioning “Where’s The Love?” As Hezekiah explores the empty pool while in conversation with himself, it stands as an metaphor for finding one’s artistic purpose in solitude, rather a space where one no longer fears standing alone while embracing and eventually becoming their truth.  GODS CREATE! “Dreams Don’t Chase Themselves” is out now!

New Video: UllNevaNo – MGNTKFYING GLASS PERSPECTIVE

A brand new video from UllNevaNo looks pretty old school! The clip was directed by Logic Marsellis and utilizes a good ol’ VHS camcorder to get the feeling of a vacation video from the 90’s. The quirks of the retro technology are all there: the blurry focus, glitches, block font, etc. and it makes for some dope visuals for a smoothed out track produced by illien rosewell. Peep it out and let us know what you think in the comments.

A Little Update

I’ve really been slacking on posting to the blog and I apologize. I have new music recorded and this is actually the first year since 2008 that I haven’t released an album or a mixtape, but I’ve been working overtime on getting my first short film made. If you haven’t been keeping track, it’s called Hit the Hitman. The above video is from a couple of weeks ago, right after we made out Kickstarter goal.

Making a movie, even a short film is really fucking involved. You have to plan and pick out everything, from the dishes to the music and everything in between. It is possible to just show up someplace and start shooting, but the type of film I want to make which involves creating a world unto itself, means that I have to look at and make a call on the smallest thing, like should we get a costume hemmed or what kind of lighting should we have for the scene. It’s kind of crazy but I’ve actually really been enjoying it.
