The City Paper and B on Rome Cee

It’s been a big week for Rome Cee as we gear up for his release party this Saturday (BTW, hit us up for tickets while they last!). When the album dropped he hit very strong with posts on the biggest blogs online including 2DopeBoyz, NahRight and HipHopDx to name a few.  This week he got full features in The B and The City Paper.  The City Paper calls The Extra Mile “a masterful hip-hop record” and Wes Case of The B calls Rome “one of the city’s best rappers and most promising artists.”  Check out the articles here and here.

Rome Cee Featured On City Paper’s Noise Blog

That’s right, our homie Rome Cee is starting to build that buzz.  Coming out the gate swinging with his short, but sweet “Rap Messiah Freestyle,” he’s just been featured on City Paper’s Noise Blog.  I’m sure you’ve listened to the track which we just posted a couple of days ago, so you know the heat Rome is coming with.  Head over to the article and read what City Paper has to say about Rome and about Under Sound Music.

It feels great to get continued support from our local media outlets.  City Paper has had our backs for a while now and I really appreciate that.  This week they put “For The Win” in their Know Your Product section of the paper.  To check it out online follow THIS link.  I’m also pasting the blurb below.

E Major “For the Win” The lead cut off E Major’s new mixtape E Major Is . . . Better Than Yours and the Under Sound crew is going super-weird. Woozy production seems to be popping up more and more, what with the whole DJ Screw rediscovery of late, and here it is at its wooziest. No idea the source of the backing track on “For the Win” but it’s fully on another planet, sludgy and jumpy at the same time, a molasses cascade of a vocal hook. The rhymes are, as expected, really sharp but don’t get too far away from run-of-the-mill rap boast, though this is nice: “I’ve been in your girl’s mouth like a menthol.”’
