This is a new joint from my homie Jahpan who, as you may know, is a Rhode Island representative operating out of sunny LA. This piece was directed and edited by our other good friends, the Brother Guidera, Garrett who did the same duties on the “Paper Runnin’” video and Evan who is also part of FRESH KILL.

There’s so much about this video I like. In particular, as a bit of a typophile, I love the text at the beginning and how it’s integrated into the shots that it’s overlaid on, with the smoke coming in front of the text and the text moving slightly with the camera movements. I also really like the scenery change in the 3rd verse. The nondescript background with the bokeh lights is really cool and the colors are really nice.

The Demonstrators’ “Paper Runnin’ Booman Remix” on ABC.com

This week The Demonstrators hit song, “Paper Runnin’ Booman Remix” was featured on an episode of a show on ABC.com. Navigating the current music environment is tricky and getting a song featured on something as widespread as an ABC series can be really good for gaining more exposure for our label. So when we our friend Hilton Carter was editing for this series and asked if we wanted the song featured there was really no hesitation. This feature will get “Paper Runnin’” and pure Baltimore Club music for that matter, heard by many ears that most likely would not have heard of either previously.

We don’t usually post anything on the site unless the folks involved are directly involved with or work with Under Sound to some extent. There are exceptions to that though and this is one of them. This video got over 120,000 views so it’s crazy that I’m just now seeing it. We got an email today though from the kid Money who raps first on this joint and he wanted to share it with us and I’m glad he did. This is some street music that I can get with. Not surprisingly Bossman shines on this. He really fits well on beats like this IMO. And I really like this track. Anyway, check it out and let me know if you’re feeling it and want to hear more.

This weekend we shot a promo music video for the homie Ullnevano for a song off of his upcoming The Color Brown release, where’s he’s spitting over nothing but Kev Brown instrumentals. We kept it real Hip Hop with some graffiti backgrounds and cityscapes. The footage looks pretty nice and I think the video will turn out sick. Easily one of the busiest and most viable artist Baltimore has to offer, Greenspan continues to put out new material of a high quality. I just got this promo for his sequel to Got Green and I have to say it’s pretty cool. I like the idea of recreating a scene from a film for your promo and it’s done well.
