This is going to be a really quick recap of how the show this past Saturday went. As you may know, I’m still pretty new to L.A. and therefore I haven’t really been able to get out and promote and create a solid fan base here yet. So this being just my second show here I was a little worried about the turnout. My friends who showed up for the first show can’t be expected to come out every time I perform. I need to gain some actual fans. On top of it all, Evidence and a host of local, well known acts were playing downstairs that night. What surprised me though was how full the room was when I was about to go on. The majority of the people had no idea who I was. This really worked out for me though because I had the element of surprise. By the end of it I think everyone had a good time. I had a short 5 song set and the crowd was vibing with me. I even had some waitresses take a break and come to the front of the stage to watch. It was pretty cool. I met a bunch of new people and hopefully some of them are reading this post. I’m just going to keep working and keep doing shows and keep striving to reach more people with my music.
One of the best things about LA, in my opinion, is that you can go to the beach in October. This picture was from this past weekend and I might hit the beach tomorrow since it’s going to be in the upper 80’s inland. Â Wherever you are, you gotta grab your piece of beach (metaphorically speaking).
I’ve been in LA for a little over 2 months right now and it’s been really amazing. I love Baltimore but I have always felt like I fit in here. I haven’t gotten a lot of music done since I’ve been here, I’ve more so been taking it all in, but I’ll be back in the swing soon. In the meantime here are a few snapshots of what I’ve been up too. Just a taste mind you.
But they look like sneakers!
Contrary to popular belief there are some great spots to grub out here.
