Beach Day

One of the best things about LA, in my opinion, is that you can go to the beach in October. This picture was from this past weekend and I might hit the beach tomorrow since it’s going to be in the upper 80′s inland.  Wherever you are, you gotta grab your piece of beach (metaphorically speaking).

Living

I’ve been in LA for a little over 2 months right now and it’s been really amazing.  I love Baltimore but I have always felt like I fit in here.  I haven’t gotten a lot of music done since I’ve been here, I’ve more so been taking it all in, but I’ll be back in the swing soon.  In the meantime here are a few snapshots of what I’ve been up too.  Just a taste mind you.

But they look like sneakers!

Contrary to popular belief there are some great spots to grub out here.

What up Dunny?

Photos from The Latchkey Kids Release Party

Last night was a lot of fun.  I mentioned during my performance that I appreciated to be there because it was really just the Makeshift/Action Figures guys performing and I felt like family even though I was kinda the odd man out.  Everyone had good sets and it was a really intimate environment that let the performers interact with the crowd.  If you haven’t picked up Latchkey Kids yet what are you waiting for.  You can get it on iTunes right now!

J Berd of Makeshift/Action Figures

This past Friday I hosted the Makeshift Deluxe/Action Figures/John Robinson show at Nola Café in Frederick, MD.  Makeshift have a great following in their home town and the crowd was super live.  As host I just had to keep things moving and try to keep the crowd hype, which really wasn’t difficult.  Everyone put on a great show.  These pics popped up online a couple of days ago.

E Major in SPKSMEN

A couple of weekends ago I was asked to be part of a lookbook for a new T Shirt label called SPKSMEN.  We shot at Georgetown University and in a cool DC apartment.  As many of you know I love fashion so I was happy to help out with this shoot.  I also got to meet Tobi of TASK Productions who was also in the shoot.  That was an added bonus for sure.

The store is now live and looks great.  You can see it at www.shop.spksmen.com and pick up a tee while you’re there.

Also, follow SPKSMEN on Twitter.

Here’s the video lookbook directed by Rob Ruscher. He did a great job.  Don’t you agree?
